Berichtdefinitie (Decormaquettes in De Munt)

In 2010, bij de aanvang van het project, werden er slechts een 50-tal decormaquettes geïdentificeerd in De Munt. Dit was onder andere te wijten aan de brand die in mei 1992 een hangar in de Barastraat te Anderlecht verwoestte met daarin de decors en decormaquettes van De Munt. Maquettes en losse onderdelen van recentere datum of stukken die ontsnapten aan het vuur, bevonden zich op dat moment zowat overal verspreid in het theater. De gevonden maquettes werden geïdentificeerd en gekoppeld aan de producties waarvoor ze ontworpen waren.

In 2010, at the start of the project, only about 50 scenery models were identified in De Munt. This is partly the result of a fire that destroyed a warehouse at Barastraat in Anderlecht in May 1992, where the scenery and models from De Munt were stored. Models or individual parts from more recent productions, or items that escaped the fire, were then spread all over the theatre. The existing models were identified and linked to productions they were used for.
